Tropical Storm Erika threatening Monday’s Raw in Tampa

This Monday’s Raw might get body slammed by mother nature as Tropical Storm Erika is threatening the event in Tampa, Florida.

The Amalie Arena issued a statement on its website after a lot of inquiries over the status of the show. “Amalie Arena and our partners at WWE are aware of Tropical Storm Erika’s potential impact to our area in advance of WWE Raw on Monday, August 31. At this time, the event is not cancelled. However, we are keeping the storm top of mind. We will release any pertinent information as needed,” the statement read.

The status of the show will be updated on AmalieArena.com as well as on the WWE social media accounts.

It would not be the first time that WWE would have to cancel a live event due to weather issues. In late January WWE canceled the live Raw from Hartford and the Smackdown tapings in Boston the next day due to a blizzard. Raw went on to broadcast live from the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, as a studio show and replays from the Royal Rumble.
