Trainwreck movie featuring Amy Schumer and John Cena out in theaters today

The movie Trainwreck, featuring Amy Schumer which John Cena has a supporting role in will be released in theaters nationwide today.

The R-rated comedy is directed by Judd Apatow and written by Amy Schumer. Cena, who plays the character of Steven, has a sex scene with Schumer in the movie and its storyline was played out on an episode of Total Divas where Nikki was jealous and not happy that he did not tell her about it.

Joining Schumer and Cena are an ensemble cast featuring Tilda Swinton, Bill Hader, Colin Quinn, LeBron James, Marisa Tomei, and several others.

The former WWE champion received good reviews for his work on the movie, reviews that were also echoed by the director and the lead star herself who both said that he was extremely funny and got more laughs out of anyone.

Trainwreck is a Universal Pictures movie and had a budget of $35 million. It is not expected to take the top spot in the box office chart as Marvel’s Ant-Man is anticipated for the #1 position. Estimates are that Trainwreck will get around $25 million in its opening weekend.
