Tough Enough winner Sara Lee released from WWE

The Tough Enough female winner, Sara Lee, has been released from WWE just over a year after winning the $250,000 contract on the USA Network reality competition.

The news was initially reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, however no indication was given as to why she was let go. It emerged that Lee is pregnant with her first child. She is currently dating NXT wrestler Wesley Blake.

Lee spent most of her time in the WWE Performance Center and barely was exposed in front of a live audience due to her lack of wrestling abilities. Despite spending every day at the state-of-the-art facility, Lee did not improve much and all the others – except for ZZ – who were signed from Tough Enough are at least participating at non-televised live events.

She was at risk of elimination five times during the competition but the public always came to her rescue, eventually crowning her Tough Enough winner.
