Tommaso Ciampa turns on Johnny Gargano at NXT Takeover

The tag team of #DIY is no longer as after last night’s NXT Takeover: Chicago, Tommaso Ciampa absolutely destroyed his former tag team partner Johnny Gargano, viciously attacking him on the stage as soon as the trademark caption came up and the show was going off the air.

#DIY had just lost the tag team ladder match against the Authors of Pain and both of them, especially Gargano, were beaten up pretty bad. The match was the main event of the show, which confused viewers at the start but considering what went down afterward it made perfect sense.

As Gargano and Ciampa stood in the ring for the standing ovation, replays were screened and then the two moved up the ramp. Before saying the final goodbye to the fans, Ciampa slammed Gargano on the set and viciously attacked him. Although referees tried to interfere, Ciampa delivered the Air Raid Crash to Gargano from the announce table to some tables set up at a lower level.

The crowd chanted “F*ck you Ciampa” and “Asshole” as Ciampa looked on at his fallen former partner.

Ciampa and Gargano have been teaming up in NXT since September 2015.
