The Rock thanks WWE fans for the two Slammy Awards

Former WWE champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson thanked the WWE fans twice for voting him for the two Slammy Awards. The Rock won the LOL Moment of the Year for his Rock Concert involving Vickie Guerrero and then later won the Match of the Year with John Cena at WrestleMania 29.

“THANK U @WWE Universe! Entertaining you is my greatest joy (2nd to pie;),” Rock wrote on Twitter.

Guerrero said she was honored to have been part of the segment and when a Twitter user said that he felt Vickie was going to laugh but kept a mean face, The Rock told him that Vickie is “an amazingly focused performer” and the two did their own laughing backstage afterward.

After he won the second Slammy of the night, The Rock once again thanked his fans.

“THANK U @WWE Universe for the vote and @JohnCena for the earned brotherhood. Truly my honor to do “the honors”. He elaborated on a post on Instagram saying that he didn’t go back to WWE for the money or fame, but rather to give back to the fans and do the right thing – crown a new WWE champion in John Cena.
