Talking Smack hosts find out news about cancellation on the Internet

When Talking Smack was canceled by WWE as a weekly show on the WWE Network, the host Renee Young and her co-host, Daniel Bryan, were not told about it and they only found out about the news when they read about it on the Internet.

“Hmmmm that’s one way to get news,” said Young, who was reacting to a tweet that tagged her.

Daniel Bryan was pretty much in the same boat. “I come online to support #SamiForSyria and find this out. I’m the GM!!! Nobody tells me anything,” he wrote.

Dave Meltzer of the Observer reported that the show was canceled because not enough people tuned in to watch the show live or on-demand. The show was bumped from its 10PM time slot to 11PM to make way for 205 Live on the Network.

“Really disappointed about #TalkingSmack. We tried to make that show great. Guess I’ll go back to welcoming my guest at this time,” Renee Young later added.

The Miz, who had some of the most memorable appearances on the show, was also disappointed that WWE canceled the program. “RIP #TalkingSmack I enjoyed the freedom this show gave @wwe talent to showcase what they could do @ReneeYoungWWE brought the best out of all,” he said.
