Shane answers and sums up A.J.’s Pele Kick as “inadvertent.” However, he warns Styles that if something like that occurs at SummerSlam while he is the special referee.

Kevin Owens – who takes on A.J. for the U.S. Title at SummerSlam – struts out. He is appreciative of McMahon’s thoughts and offers his hand for Shane, but The Commissioner declines to return the motion, as he deems it “inappropriate” since he is the referee. Instead, he tells Owens to shake Styles’ hand. Kevin and A.J. start shoving, which Shane breaks up. Styles punches but Owens moves and he almost hits McMahon, but is blocked.
