Seth Rollins returns and attacks Roman Reigns

Former WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins made his return to the ring last night six months after tearing his ACL, MCL and medial meniscus.

Rollins attacked Roman Reigns following his WWE World Heavyweight title match against AJ Styles and hit the champion with the Pedigree. The crowd loved it as they went absolutely bananas and even chanted “Thank you Seth” for taking out Reigns. Rollins then posed with the WWE World Heavyweight title with WWE clearly now moving away from Reigns/Styles to accommodate a Reigns/Rollins feud. The two were supposed to wrestle at Survivor Series last year before Rollins suffered his knee injury.

The former Shield member has been out with the injury since November 4 when a freak accident put a halt to his WWE title run. During that match in Dublin, Ireland against Kane, Rollins went for a sunset flip powerbomb but his knee buckled as soon as he landed. Rollins vacated the title the next day after it was apparent that his injury needed surgery and would be out for up to 9 months. Rollins managed to return three months earlier, pulling out a Cena-esque comeback.
