Sami Zayn made his in-ring return at the NXT live event tour in Newcastle, England, yesterday and wrestled NXT champion Finn Balor in the main event.

Breaking the usual tradition, the champion came out first for his match, leaving Zayn to get one of the biggest pops of the night. Fans chanted “Ole ole ole!” as the WWE production team waited a few before kicking in Zayn’s theme song to build up the anticipation. Fans gave the returning Canadian a standing ovation. Sami is also sporting a new hairstyle as he shaved his head.

The match ended with Balor picking up the win after hitting the Coup De Grâce on his opponent. Balor and Zayn then hugged after the match and Balor held up a sign welcoming back Zayn. Zayn was left alone in the ring afterward as fans showed their appreciation.
