Ronda Rousey becomes the new Raw Women’s champion

On her second attempt at the Raw Women’s title, Ronda Rousey reached the top of the summit as she defeated Alexa Bliss in a decisive manner last night at SummerSlam.

Rousey did to Bliss what Brock Lesnar did to John Cena a couple of years ago, completely dominating the short match with Rousey looking like she snapped Bliss’ arm. Bliss has what in the medical field is described as hypermobility, or better known to regular people as double-jointness. The condition allows her to stretch more than others, in this case she can bend her arm further than regular individuals.

After winning the match, Rousey was joined by Natalya in the ring as the best friends celebrated. They were later joined by Nikki and Brie Bella, who were sitting ringside for the match. Rousey also went over to celebrate with her husband who was also at ringside behind the announcers.

Ronda becomes the first-ever woman to have held both WWE and UFC titles.

Triple H, who on screen is Rousey’s rival but behind-the-scenes is one of her biggest ever supporters, wrote on Twitter, “A fighter… for change …for women …for the future. Congratulations to @RondaRousey on becoming the NEW #Raw Women’s Champion.”
