President Trump tweets birthday wishes to Vince McMahon

President Donald Trump wished his good friend Vince McMahon a happy birthday on Twitter, a tweet which was sent to his over 54 million-plus followers.

McMahon, who turned 73 yesterday, wrote on Twitter, “Thanks to all of you thinking about wishing me a happy birthday and the three of you that actually did. Happy Birthday to me! LOL,” adding the hashtags #73GoingOn20 #LovingLife.

Trump retweeted it with a comment saying, “Happy birthday Vince, you are truly one of the greats!”

The two are very close and their friendship dates back to when Trump hosted WrestleMania IV in 1988 at his property in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Trump also hosted WrestleMania V and was ringside for WrestleMania VII and X. At WrestleMania 23, he was part of a big angle with McMahon and he even managed to appear on Raw a couple of times, including that time he “bought” Raw and made it commercial-free. Trump was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Linda McMahon, the former CEO of WWE, now serves on Trump’s Cabinet as the Administrator of the SBA. Both McMahons are big Trump donors.
