Neville fractures his ankle on Raw

Former NXT champion Neville suffered a fractured ankle on Monday Night Raw during his match against Chris Jericho.

The injury occurred when the British Superstar went for slide and his left ankle got caught on the canvas. Neville continued the match for a bit but then it was decided to change the finish and Jericho got disqualified for pushing the referee after it was obvious that Neville couldn’t continue. Jericho then got into a shouting match with the referee and cut a promo as WWE trainers helped Neville to the back.

The interesting part of this whole incident is that Jericho got legit pissed at WWE referee Charles Robinson who apparently didn’t hear Jericho telling him that Neville was hurt. After Robinson failed to hit the three count following a quick roll-up, Jericho shouted at Robinson and pushed him and the two continued to argue live on television and at one point you could see Robinson telling Jericho not to put his hands on him.

“Neville sustained a left ankle injury on a baseball slide during his match with Chris Jericho,” Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com. “Initial X-rays reveal a fracture of the ankle. He will undergo further imaging today to determine the extent of the fracture and to determine if surgery will be necessary.”

You can see the footage of the injury below (with subtitles!).
