Mainstream news websites cover Daniel Bryan’s retirement

The retirement of Daniel Bryan took over the Internet last night with his name and hash tag #ThankYouDanielBryan trending worldwide amidst coverage from all around the world.

Websites such as Forbes, E! Online, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, FOX Sports, TV Line, Rolling Stone, CBS Sports, Deadspin, Hollywood Life, ABC News, Yahoo! Sports, Washington Post, as well as several International news portals such as BBC News, Sky Sports, and many others all covered the early retirement of Daniel Bryan.

His retirement, at the age of just 34, is due to a current hot topic – concussions. Concussion is a major thing at the moment with sports like the NFL trying to “tackle” the problem and WWE investing money in research to try and find out more about it. The cause of his retirement sparked major coverage for obvious reasons from websites and news outlets which don’t often cover WWE or professional wrestling in general.
