John Cena returning to Smackdown on December 27

John Cena has been pretty busy lately and his out-of-the-ring activities have kept him away from WWE. But the wait will be soon over as the 15-time World champion will be making his WWE return on the December 27 Smackdown, live from Chicago.

Cena was last seen in a WWE ring at the No Mercy pay-per-view this past October, participating in a triple threat match for the WWE title against Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles.

Following that match, Cena went on to film season two of American Grit, the reality TV series for FOX and also hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time ever this past weekend.

Cena is no longer working a full-time schedule with WWE but is expected to be part of the lead-up to the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
