Jerry “The King” Lawler re-signs with WWE and will call the Rumble match

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler announced on his Dinner With The King podcast yesterday that he signed a new, two-year deal with WWE.

His usual deal is renewed every year but this time around he was offered two years plus a raise and Lawler agreed.

Lawler also said that he will be calling this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match and it looks like he will be joined by his former commentary partner John “Bradshaw” Layfield. Michael Cole will be leading the commentary booth.

The former Raw and Smackdown commentator lost his place to younger guys over the past few years but is still part of the pay-per-view Kickoff panels.
