Dean Malenko quits his WWE producer job

Sports Illustrated is reporting that Dean Malenko has quit his job as a WWE producer. No reason was given as to what led Malenko leaving the company.

Malenko held a WWE backstage job since his in-ring retirement in 2001 and was one of the senior agents in the company in charge of important matches.

His departure from WWE continues a major shift backstage, with the likes of Arn Anderson being fired and Brian James and RD Evans quitting the creative department.

Often referred to as “The Man of 1,000 Holds,” Malenko will certainly leave a huge void backstage considering his vast experience.
