Daniel Bryan cleared to return by his neurologist

During a recent interview with Busted Open Radio to promote his new book, former WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan said that his neurologist in Phoenix has cleared him to return to the ring but WWE’s medical team hasn’t yet.

When asked about his injury, Bryan said it was not a neck problem but a concussion. He understands why WWE is protecting him since concussions are a big thing right now but he said the neurologist pointed out that his brain is at a level above others who never had a concussion at his age so it’s excellent.

He said his right arm is around 85% and it will never be a 100% since he waited quite a while to get surgery and the nerve was cut off for a long time. He still says that his grip strength on his weaker arm is still better than the average male.

Daniel Bryan had to surrender the Intercontinental title after winning it at WrestleMania because he was not cleared to compete following the European tour. The same thing happened to him the previous year when he won the WWE World Heavyweight title and only managed to defend the title once.
