Champion vs Champion to headline TLC pay-per-view

In three weeks time we will see one champion in the WWE, as both the World Heavyweight title and the WWE title will be hung above the ring with the winner grabbing both titles.

The champion vs champion match – a tables, ladders, and chairs contest – was announced last night on RAW by Triple H after John Cena suggested to have a match against Randy Orton to determine who is the one champion. The match will take place at the TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view.

There has not been one champion in the WWE since late 2001, when Chris Jericho won both titles at Vengeance to become the first ever Undisputed WWE champion in over 50 years. The World Heavyweight title was reintroduced in the Summer of 2002 after the brand split and Triple H was awarded the title by Eric Bischoff.
