Braun Strowman joins the small list of failed MITB cash-ins

Braun Strowman became the fourth individual to fail in his Money In The Bank cash-in, as his match against Roman Reigns last night at Hell In A Cell ended in a no contest following the interference of Brock Lesnar.

There actually have been five Superstars – including Strowman – who won the briefcase and failed to cash in, but one of them, Mr. Kennedy, lost the briefcase in a match against Edge and technically Kennedy never cashed it in.

The other individuals who failed in their quest to win the title after winning were John Cena in 2012, Damien Sandow in 2013, and most recently Baron Corbin last year.

The feud between Reigns and Strowman will continue and you can bet there will be some kind of rematch since there was no finish to the match.

This Hell In A Cell match between the two is also the second only match to end in a no contest. The last time a HIAC match ended the same was in August 1998 when Mankind and Kane wrestled on an episode of Raw. This Reigns/Strowman match was the 40th HIAC match and the other 38 matches all had a finish.
