All the surprises from the 2018 Royal Rumble!

If you look back at 31 years of Royal Rumble events, it will be very hard – if not impossible – to find a Rumble with so many surprise entrants.

The men’s Royal Rumble had a few surprise entrants, four to be exact. The NXT champion Andrade “Cien” Almas came out first at #7, followed by former Cruiserweight champion The Hurricane at #21. Another NXT star, Adam Cole came out in #23, and former World Heavyweight champion Rey Mysterio was #27.

Mysterio came out #30 in 2014 and fans completely turned on him when it was evident that Daniel Bryan was not going to be part of the Rumble. Mysterio was booed by the whole arena that night but this time around, the response was a complete 180. Mysterio looked like he was in the best shape of his life and his popularity increased when he delivered a double 619 to Reigns and Cena!

The women’s Rumble match had 13 unannounced spots due to not enough females on the main roster to make it to 30.

Lita came in at #5, Kairi Sanie at #6, Torrie Wilson at #9, Molly Holly at #12, Michelle McCool at #14, Vickie Guerrero at #16, Kelly Kelly at #19, Jacqueline at #21, Ember Moon at #23, Beth Phoenix at #24, Nikki Bella at #27, Brie Bella at #28, and Trish Stratus is at #30.

All the female WWE Legends looked in fantastic shape and provided us with some dream face offs with Lita and Trish Stratus getting some big, big pops from the Philly crowd.

And then, of course, you had the biggest surprise of them all: Ronda Rousey!
