Alexa Bliss makes history with title win at Payback

Alexa Bliss made history yesterday, becoming the first Superstar to win both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s titles. It wasn’t Charlotte, it wasn’t Sasha Banks, it wasn’t Becky Lynch, but a fellow former NXT star who dubs herself as the “five feet of fury” and someone who usually don’t get the same star treatment as the members of the Four Horsewomen.

Ever since moving up to the main roster during the 2016 Draft, Bliss has slowly – but surely – become one of the most successful female stars in the company. She is now a former two-time Smackdown Women’s champion and the reigning Raw Women’s champion. Interestingly enough, Bliss never managed to get her hands on the NXT Women’s title during her three year stint there.

As for Bayley, she continues the trend of Superstars losing the title in their own home town, something that WWE likes to do very often. Bayley spent 76 days as the Raw Women’s champion, a title she won on Raw in Las Vegas in February.
