TNA and Multi Screen Media announced that the TNA tour of India has been postponed and will be scheduled for an unspecified date in 2016.
There were supposed to be three live events in Mumbai on December 2, 3, and 4, with the last show being a One Night Only show broadcasting live in India.
“The postponement is primarily due to logistical issues around the timing of the event,” the press release announcing the cancellation of the tour states.
TNA made a huge deal out of the India announcement last month with a press event which included Ethan Carter III, Rebel, and Mahabali Shera appearing on behalf of TNA and former WWE champion Dalip “The Great Khali” Singh also present to announce his new working relationship with the company.
“We are also proud of the relationships we are forming with our fans across India and we are honored to travel our incredible roster to India for three historic global live events emanating from Mahabali Shera’s home,” said TNA President Dixie Carter at the time.
A large group of individuals were supposed to leave to India later this weekend but everyone was informed via e-mail that the tour is off. Those who were going to work the shows are still going to be paid.
