TNA says Styles, Gallows, and Anderson signed TNA deal but then changed their mind

The TNA website at ImpactWrestling.com is featuring a large image of AJ Styles on the main page with a story detailing the behind-the-scenes negotiations that were supposed to bring back Styles to TNA.

“In the last few weeks, rumors have swirled about AJ Styles, his future and TNA Wrestling. Fans have asked for the status and wrestling media have made numerous inquiries,” the story reads. TNA says that both parties have been involved in “serious discussions” to bring AJ back to TNA along with Drew Hankinson and Chad Allegra – better known to fans as Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson.

All three wrestlers attended a meeting on December 14 at Dixie Carter’s home in Nashville, Tennessee, where all of them signed a written deal with TNA. “Start dates were determined, creative decided, merchandise designed and plane tickets purchased,” the story adds before saying that over the Christmas holiday, and after the lawyers finalized the long form agreement, all communication with TNA stopped.

“AJ’s lawyer contacted TNA and stated the wrestlers had changed their mind and would not be honoring their commitment to TNA,” the company stated.

All three are expected to debut very soon in WWE, with Styles reportedly ready for either the Rumble or the next day on Raw.
