Jeff Jarrett taking leave of absence from Global Force Wrestling

Things go from bad to worse over at Anthem and Impact as it was announced that Jeff Jarrett will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position at Global Force Wrestling to tackle personal matters.

“Effective immediately, Jeff Jarrett is taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as Chief Creative Officer to focus on personal matters. Jeff will be available on a consultative basis as needed,” a statement from Anthem read.

The former TNA champion returned to the fold after Anthem took over the company from Dixie Carter and has been heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the company. Earlier this year, he reached an agreement with Anthem to sell his Global Force Wrestling brand and Anthem rebranded TNA as GFW.

It was not revealed what these personal matters are. Jarrett also took a leave of absence when the whole story with Karen, who at the time was Kurt Angle’s wife, blew up. He returned several months later and TNA at the time turned the whole issue into a storyline.
