Triple H was wrestling Curtis Axel when he started losing focus and couldn’t climb back in the ring. He moved over to the ringside WWE doctor and asked for water and then proceeded to stumble around as officials tried to help the former champion.

Jerry “The King” Lawler suggested during commentary that HHH could be suffering from a stroke, but then on Twitter issued an apology for his remark.

“I want to apologize to Triple H and his family for insinuating that he may have had a stroke. I know firsthand how upsetting it could be,” Lawler wrote.

The angle was pushed by Paul Heyman on his Twitter account, posting several tweets and photos from the attack. Heyman promised to air footage of the destruction during tonight’s episode. Looks like someone was due for new office furniture!

The two are set to meet at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in a steel cage match. Tonight’s RAW is taking place at the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke, Virginia. Lesnar is not advertised for the show.

Triple H was nominated for the most metal athlete award with  five other athletes – Tom Crabtree from the NFL’s Green Bay Packers, rally driver Tanner Faust, UFC fighter Clay Guida, skateboarder Geoff Rowley, and CJ Wilson from MLB’s Los Angeles Angels.

The former WWE and World Heavyweight champion was not present to collect the award however sent in a video message, jokingly saying he was in Germany substituting Chris Jericho in his band Fozzy. He thanked the fans for voting for him and said he is very proud of the award and that it means a lot to him.

HHH talked about the Attitude Era, describing it as “wild and crazy time” but a lot of fun due to a bit of “a free reign” that he and others such as The Rock and Steve Austin enjoyed.

When the two were asked what keeps the fire burning between the two of them, Stephanie said she couldn’t answer that one publicly, but her husband immediately fired back an answer.

“A big log. It keeps the fire burning,” the former champ joked.

The proposed match – and one of the main events of the pay-per-view – will be a steel cage match to determine the only “alpha male” in the WWE between Triple H and Brock Lesnar.

This would be their third match against each other with Brock winning the first one at SummerSlam and Triple H winning the second one at WrestleMania.

The former WWE and World Heavyweight champion wrote on Twitter that he suffered 2nd degree burns at Mania, right as soon as he walked through his set which was firing dry ice to create the smoke. The problem was that HHH walked right as the machine started firing the ice instead of letting it firing first.

The Game – who overcame Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania – had to get an X-Ray on his hand after his match was over as it was swollen after landing badly on it. The X-ray showed no broken bones however.

“Hand and arm not working, head to toe pain…… loved every minute!!!!!” wrote Triple H, adding a photo of his swollen hand in a post on Twitter.

HHH had been advertised for this Smackdown for quite a while now and Chris Jericho is also scheduled to be there along with the new WWE champ John Cena.

The dark match advertised is Sheamus, Orton, and Ryback taking on The Shield in a six man tag team match.

Brock Lesnar came out to confront Triple H after Heyman was out all beat up at ringside however stopped short of getting in the ring after HHH produced a hidden sledgehammer. As Heyman and Lesnar stood on the ramp, Heyman announced that their match will be no holds barred affair, with no count outs, no disqualifications, and no stopping for any reason.

Triple H liked the idea however Heyman wasn’t just finished yet. He told Triple H that his career is also on the line so if he loses, the Game is over!

During the New Age Outlaws match against the Rhodes Scholars, Lesnar came out and decked out both former tag team champions with an F5 each.

Lesnar’s mouthpiece, Paul Heyman, ran down the men that Lesnar broke – HHH, Shawn Michaels, and Vince McMahon – before accepting Triple H’s challenge on his client’s behalf.

“The answer is yes,” screamed Heyman, but Brock Lesnar will only go ahead with the match as long as he names the stipulation for the match. And the stipulation will only be named after Triple H signs the contract.

Triple H – who was always addressed by his real name Paul during the interview – said the journey to get Bruno on board is a long story but he said to was destiny as corny as it might sound.

When Madison Square Garden was chosen as the location for the Hall of Fame, HHH said it was the perfect storybook ending for Bruno to be inducted in the house that he built.

Triple H joined the social network yesterday and already has over 190,000 fans following him. “13-time World Champion and Chief Operating Officer of WWE. Time to Play The Game,” reads his bio at the top of the page. His real job title at WWE is Executive Vice President, Talent and Live Events.

Today, HHH said that he managed to convince his wife to also join Twitter. “Hey, I badgered my wife into doing this nerdfest as well,” he wrote.

“Thanks Honey, I needed another responsibility,” Stephanie McMahon wrote back.

McMahon joined Twitter just a few hours ago and has over 6,000 followers as of this writing. Her profile reads, “Stephanie McMahon is WWE’s EVP, Creative, responsible for overseeing creative development for all WWE. Working mom of 3. Married to @TripleH. #WhosTheREALBoss?”

Well, we kinda all knew she was the real boss anyway.

HHH saved Mr McMahon after Brock Lesnar came out to defend his friend and manager Paul Heyman after McMahon turned the tables on Heyman and attacked him with his crutches.

However Lesnar had no chance to hurt McMahon as Triple H – in jeans and shirt and ready to fight – appeared for the first time since late August and brawled with Lesnar, splitting Lesnar’s head wide open after ramming him through the ring post.

The two former WWE champions kept fighting as WWE cameras tried their best to avoid showing the bloodied face of the former UFC fighter on a PG rated program.

Lesnar and Triple H are expected to wrestle at WrestleMania in a SummerSlam rematch. Lesnar won the first round back in August, “breaking” Triple H’s arm.

In a recent interview with WrestleTalk TV Extra, the WWE Hall of Famer somewhat ripped into Triple H and while he admits that he has a certain amount of respect for Triple H, to him, he’s just a good wrestler, but not great.

“Triple H has always been a good wrestler. But great? What is he now, a 1,000 time world champion? How great really is he,” Bret asked.

He compared Triple H’s accomplishments to those like CM Punk, and Rey Mysterio, who he called innovators.

“But you look at someone like Hunter and you wonder, what has he really done,” said Bret. “He’s mostly a guy that just showed up and they made him. He’s always been a decent wrestler. I would consider him a good wrestler and pretty talented. But great? I don’t know, I don’t think so.”

According to Hart, Triple H “never had a great match,” not even his last one with the Undertaker would fall under the “great” category.

“I don’t really mean it as a knock, but I told myself before I watched it because I’m trying to like Paul now these days. That I want to see him do something to make me think he’s got greatness in him.”

He said that he thought his match against Taker inside Hell In A Cell was “mediocre at best,” giving it a rating of 3 or 4 out of 10. He also called him overrated for being great and can’t recall any match that he saw involving him that he could call great.

When fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was asked the question on Twitter about what he thought of Bret’s comments regarding Triple H, Ross – who’s a good friend of both Superstars – said, “Respectfully disagree.”

Triple H mentioned that Axxess will be a bit different this year, including more autograph and meet-and-greet sessions along with new stuff like VIP experience where fans will get to see how backstage works during WWE television shows.

Asked about the show being outdoor in April in New Jersey, Triple H said it “could be a bit nippy,” adding that for fans in the area it won’t make much of a difference but fans from outside that area will have to bring appropriate clothing.

“We’ve got it all figured out to have the heating right and make sure that everybody being there is going to have an enjoyable experience,” HHH said. “I think that at the end of the day, it’s not going to make a difference where we are, enclosed or open, the atmosphere is going to be the same, it’s going to be electric.”

Yep, TMZ.COM published a few photos of Triple H posing with fans outside the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, sporting a brand new haircut, with the always-present long hair now completely gone. Triple H always rocked the long hair while in the WWE, a career that started in 1995 as Hunter Hearst-Helmsley.

The WWE.COM website has played up the injury saying that Triple H suffered a broken arm thanks to Lesnar’s Kimura Lock, the second time that the company has played up the angle that Lesnar broke his arm.

At the end of the SummerSlam pay-per-view, Triple H stayed in the ring to get the sympathy reaction, something that Chris Benoit used to do after a very long match which usually resulted in defeat. The only difference is that while fans cheered Benoit, Triple H actually got booed by fans as well, certainly not the reaction that he was hoping for.

It is expected that HHH and Lesnar will battle once again in the future.
