Two dates changed for upcoming One Night Only TNA PPVs

TNA has announced that two dates for the One Night Only pay-per-views that will be taped at the IMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida, have been changed.

Originally, TNA was going to tape six shows in total – twice a day – on March 17, 23, and 24. The March 17 tapings will remain the same, however the 23 and 24 shows have been moved to March 18 and 19 respectively.

This means that TNA will be taping six 3 hour shows in three consecutive days with shows starting at Noon and 6PM. The second taping of each day was supposed to start taping at 7PM but all three dates have been moved to an hour earlier.

TNA will tape six of their ‘One Night Only’ shows over a period of three days at Universal Studios in March which will mark the final shows at the IMPACT Zone.

Two shows will be taped on Sunday, March 17, with the first one starting at 1PM and the second one starting at 7PM. The second set of tapings will be held on Saturday, March 23, and the third set of tapings on Sunday, March 24. Both second and third tapings will follow the same start time for each session.

These will be the last shows to tape at the IMPACT Zone as TNA is packing up and going on the road for all their other shows. The last IMPACT will be held in Orlando on March 7.

TNA announces major overhaul to pay-per-view business

TNA Wrestling announced a major overhaul to their pay-per-view business this week which will cut the ten remaining pay-per-views to just four a year.

The major shows that survived the cut include Genesis in January, Lockdown in March, Slammiversary in June, and Bound For Glory in October. The rest of the TNA pay-per-views have all been ditched.

The removal of the other pay-per-views leads to 3 hours of less programming every month for international distributors however TNA will be taping three hour specials that will air in the overseas market and as well in the USA on pay-per-view for a lower price.

These specials will be titled One Night Only and will debut in April of this year and will continue every month for the rest of the year for $20 less than the other pay-per-views.

“The Pay-Per-View industry has changed so much in the last decade,” said TNA President Dixie Carter. “The traditional pay-per-view wrestling model needed to evolve and we believe this strategy will positively impact not only the Pay-Per-View events but the weekly television programming as well.”
