Edge lands series regular role on television show Haven

WWE Hall of Famer and former multiple time WWE and World Heavyweight champion Edge has landed a series regular gig on the SyFy television show Haven starting from the upcoming season 4.

Edge, real name Adam Copeland, plays the character of Dwight Hendrickson which was introduced in the second season of the show. He has appeared in 11 episodes over the course of two seasons and landed 7 episodes in season three before he was upgraded to series regular.

Jim Ross, who attended the Cauliflower Alley Club with Edge this past week, said that Edge will be filming the episodes of the show starting in May in the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada.

Former WWE and World Heavyweight champion Adam “Edge” Copeland underwent successful neck surgery this week which was performed by Dr. Joseph Maroon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This is his second neck surgery following his first one in 2003 which was performed by Dr. Lloyd Youngblood.

The man formerly known as the Rated-R Superstar had to retire from WWE the night after WrestleMania XXVII after doctors forced him to hang up his boots following further tests and MRI on his neck revealed he had cervical spinal stenosis.

Edge to appear on this week’s Smackdown, joins Twitter

Twitter just got Rated R as WWE Hall of Famer Edge joined the social networking website today.

“Yes I’m a hypocrite and finally gave in to twitsanity,” he posted as the first tweet, referring to the many times that he said he wouldn’t have a Twitter or Facebook account in the past.

In just over 12 hours, Edge attracted over 25,000 followers and was the top trending topic on Twitter as well.

His account creation coincided with his taped appearance on Smackdown which will air this Friday, his first time on WWE television since WrestleMania XXVIII.
