Johnson noted in a tweet last week that the movie will be “knocked out” by Tony Stark’s arrival before taking his fans for making his latest movie the number one movie in the box office chart.

“Aaand here comes #IronMan3 #ITakeThisKOLikeAMan ” Johnson tweeted.

So far Pain & Gain did $33,919,000 million nationwide off a $26 million production budget. It opens worldwide in August. His next movie will be Fast & Furious 6 and that is expected to take top spot as well, making his three films this year so far – G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain & Gain, and Fast 6 – all number ones on their opening weekend.

Johnson will reunite with his Pain & Gain co-star Mark Wahlberg and director Peter Berg for the pilot and the still untitled project is written by Boardwalk Empire producer Steve Levinson.

The show will chronicle the lives of athletes – some retired, some still active – living in Miami with the former WWE champion playing one of the leading roles. Filming will start this fall.

Johnson will be on television every week starting June 6 with his new reality competition show The Hero which will air on TNT. He hosts and executive produces the show.

The movie opened with $7.5 million on Friday, $7.37 million on Saturday, and then $5.13 million today from 3,227 screens nationwide. Pain & Gain – from director Michael Bay – had a $26 million budget, a very, very, small budget for a usual Bay movie. It is expected to recuperate the production budget by the end of next week. Pain & Gain will not open worldwide till August and overseas is where movies make the most money.

This was The Rock’s third movie this year so far with Snitch and G.I. Joe: Retaliation being the other two. His fourth movie – Fast & Furious 6 – opens on May 24.

“Wrestling fans, it was a joke,” Bay said referring to the comments he said on Entertainment Tonight. “The most important person to see the on-air joke was Dwayne.”

Bay said that he loves watching The Rock wrestle and he hopes the former WWE champion wrestles for 10 more years.

“I joked on air because Dwayne was not at our LA premiere due to his injury,” the Pain & Gain director added.

Earlier in the day, The Rock responded to Bay’s joke about stopping wrestling 300lbs men on Twitter.

“I agree. I’ll switch to women,” Rock said.

Johnson missed the Los Angeles premiere of his Pain & Gain movie due to the surgery he underwent to fix his abdominal tear and hernia, injuries he picked up at WrestleMania 29 in his match against John Cena.

“He was pushing it too hard,” said Michael Bay. “He needs to grow up and stop wrestling 300lbs men!”

Pain & Gain opens in theaters nationwide this week.

“Saw my Dr who had to push my intestines back thru the tear in my abdomen. Kinda romantic,” Johnson tweeted before saying he’s undergoing surgery in the next few days.

It is not known if the surgery will effect the schedule of his movies as he was supposed to start filming the new Hercules movie this month.

His next movie out to be released is Pain And Gain, coming out at the end of this month.

“They’ll just scar up,” Johnson wrote, noting that he is continuing his prep to shoot his next big movie, Hercules.

Putting Johnson under the knife would have delayed production for the Hercules: The Thracian Wars movie which is due out in 2014.

The movie is directed by Brett Ratner and also has Aksel Hennie as Tydeus, Rufus Sewell as Autolycus and Ian McShane as Amphiarus in the other big roles.

Johnson suffered different injuries with 15 minutes to go in his match against John Cena at WrestleMania 29. He tore his abdomen and abductor muscles off the bone as well as suffering a hernia injury.

Johnson was there with his fellow co-stars Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, Tony Shalhoub, Rob Corddry, and Ken Jeong as well as director Michael Bay and others.

The movie – based on a true story about three Florida bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong – opens nationwide on April 26.

G.I. Joe did an additional $21,100,000 this past weekend, the same as The Croods movie, raising its total box office revenue domestically to $86,663,000. It has an additional $145,200,000 in foreign box office for a worldwide total of $231,863,000.

In comparison to the previous G.I. Joe movie, Rise of Cobra did  $150,201,498 domestically and $152,267,519 foreign for a total of $302,469,017 in worldwide box office receipts.

The movie – starring The Rock, Channing Tatum, and Bruce Willis, and directed by Jon Chu – however opened less than the original G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, which did $54,713,046 in its opening weekend in 2009.

Despite opening a bit lower than the first movie, Retaliation is predicted to do much more money than its predecessor and it cost lest to produce as well. The 3D addition to the movie is also adding to the revenue since 3D tickets are more expensive.

The movie opened in several foreign countries as well and preliminary estimates for the weekend show that it did an additional over $80,000,000 million worldwide, sending its total to over $132 million.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation had a production budget of $130 million versus the $175 million for The Rise of Cobra. The first G.I. Joe movie did a worldwide box office of $302,469,017 in its full theatrical run.

The Rock said he is currently pulling double duty, training for WrestleMania and getting in shape for his upcoming role in the movie Hercules. He said he has an insane diet regiment with 7 meals a day and a lot of training.

Kimmel asked why do all the training when he knows who’s going to win at WrestleMania? He smiled and said he might know who’s going to win but added that if he loses, it’s phony, while if he wins, it’s going to be real!

Discussion turned to his first wrestling match and Rock said it was at Corpus Christi in a dark match before RAW, wrestling the Brooklyn Brawler. He recounted a story of when he was in the Gorilla position and asked one of the producers about a theme song. He thought he’d get a cool theme but instead he got some “horse sh!t techno music” and even though the music was loud he was still hearing fans telling him that he sucked while going down the ramp.

Directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg, Ed Harris, Jennifer Nicole Lee, and others, Pain & Gain is an action/comedy movie based on a true story about a couple of Florida bodybuilders who became criminals involved in an extortion ring and a kidnapping plot that does not go according to plan.

The movie – the first collaboration between Dwayne Johnson and Hollywood blockbuster director Michael Bay – is set for release on April 26.

The Rock – who appeared in person to collect the Blimp for his performance in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island – said he had been working for this his entire life and was told he had been kicking butt since he was a baby. He said that when he was born, the doctor slapped him on the butt to make him cry but The Rock doesn’t cry so he slapped the doctor right back and made him cry instead.

The champ said he was honored that the fans chose him for this award.

The Rock talked about his favorite movies when he was a kid – Star Wars, Rocky, and Indiana Jones – and his “man crush” on Clint Eastwood, who he called his acting inspiration. Rock mentioned that he never met Eastwood in person and at the Oscars he saw him but when he was about to go over to introduce himself, he froze and couldn’t “pull the trigger.”

After the commercials, Johnson talked about giving his mom a new truck for Christmas, being in shape since he’s been a kid, before transitioning into plugging the G.I. Joe: Retaliation movie.

There was absolutely no mention of WrestleMania or him being the current WWE champion. The full episode is available at NBC.COM.

While second place doesn’t sound so bad, the $13 million opening would be the forth worse opening for a movie which involves the current WWE champion. Planet 51, Faster, and Southland Tales – which only had a very, very small limited release – are the other three movies which opened worse than Snitch.

When adjusted for ticket inflation, Snitch would be the second worse, only behind Southland Tales.

The movie is about a father – played by the WWE champion – who goes undercover for the DEA in a plot to free his son from prison after he was set up during a drug deal.

Joining The Rock in this movie are Susan Sarandon, Melina Kanakaredes, Benjamin Bratt, and others.

The movie Snitch is expected to open in the third position in the box office chart behind Identity Thief and Die Hard 5 according to various movie websites.

In addition to storyline integration on its TV broadcasts, WWE will utilize all of its assets, including live events, digital and social media to promote the films and engage millions of fans each week.

G.I. Joe was the co-presenting partner of the Elimination Chamber while Pain & Gain will have a big presence at WrestleMania 29 and during the Axxess events throughout WrestleMania week.

G.I. Joe will be released on March 29 while Pain & Gain will be released on April 26.

The show revolves around nine different people who try their action hero skills on various missions, testing their brain, brawn, and morality.

The current WWE champion will be The Hero’s mentor and will help the contestants reach for the sky while pushing their limits.

Johnson will be reprising his role of Luke Hobbs, a Diplomatic Security Service agent who travels to Europe to track down a group of drivers who take down a military convoy and seeks the help of his Fast 5 enemies-turn-friends  – Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) and his team.

The film is scheduled for release on May 24 and you can see the Super Bowl trailer below.

The funny commercial starts with The Rock telling three kids that they’re out of milk and then the chase for the milk van commences. While running to catch the van, the WWE champion encounters several incidents which require his attention such as helping a little kid save her kitten from a tree, a bank robbery, a lion on top of a car, etc., all while running in the street in his PJs.

Eventually he catches up to the van, gets the can of milk, walk through all the chaos in the street, and delivers the milk. He then drinks a glass of milk as alien spacecraft is seen in the background shooting down buildings.

“Ladies, I gotta go to work,” he tells the three kids as he punches out an alien who tries to climb in through the window! Pretty funny.
