Dixie Carter open for TNA/WWE crossover event

While she was in the UK just recently, TNA President Dixie Carter did an interview with entertainment website Digital Spy to discuss the upcoming TNA tour in the UK in 2014 and an idea that will probably never happen.

Carter said that she would be open to hold a TNA/WWE crossover event although she doesn’t think that WWE shares her belief.

“I absolutely would do that. I’m not sure if they would do that, but I absolutely would,” Carter said.

The TNA President also said that the “rivalry” between the two companies benefits both as competition is healthy.

“I think it’s important for fans and for us. To have one company dominate, a) it’s boring, and b) you are not being challenged enough. It’s always better to have other options out there and I truly believe it makes both companies better.”

Dixie Carter in the UK for TNA tour launch party

TNA President Dixie Carter is currently in the United Kingdom and earlier today hosted a TNA Tour Launch Party in London.

Carter will also be holding a special meet & greet and Q&A with fans in Glasgow, Scotland, on Thursday May 2 at 5:30PM at The Clyde Auditorium. The event is free for everyone to attend.

TNA will do their yearly Maximum IMPACT Tour in the beginning of 2014, with four shows in total currently scheduled in Glasgow, Manchester, London, and Birmingham. Tickets go on sale on Friday.

Dixie Carter tweets Steph McMahon with best wishes for WM

TNA President Dixie Carter sent in her best wishes to WWE this weekend for the big WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view.

Writing on Twitter, Carter said she met Stephanie McMahon for the first time this week, and although she didn’t mention where, it most likely was at the Reid Flair funeral since both Stephanie and her husband Triple H are big friends of Ric Flair.

“Wish her and her family much success this weekend,” Carter wrote. TNA capitalized on the thousands of fans who are in the area for WrestleMania and put up a non-televised show in New York yesterday night which also featured an appearance by Hulk Hogan.

Dixie Carter to make announcement on the future of IMPACT tonight

TNA President Dixie Carter announced on Twitter that she will be making a major announcement on tonight’s IMPACT, which was taped in Manchester, England.

“This will change everything for our wrestlers, company & YOU our audience,” she wrote.

The announcement is rumored to be changes to how TNA tapes IMPACT and finally taking the show on the road rather than taping all the shows at the IMPACT Zone in Universal Studios.

Dixie Carter sends her best wishes to Lawler from all TNA staff

TNA President Dixie Carter relayed her best wishes to Jerry Lawler via a message on her Twitter account, joining the hundreds of friends, co-workers, and people in the business in sending prayers to the WWE Hall of Famer.

“The thoughts and prayers of TNA talent and staff are with @jerrylawler and his family. Get well soon,” tweeted Carter yesterday.

Several TNA Superstars and Knockouts sent in their messages as well including Christopher Daniels, Kurt Angle, James Storm, Jeff Hardy, Jeff Jarrett, Gail Kim, and others.

Dixie Carter says new person to take control of IMPACT tonight

TNA President Dixie Carter announced on Twitter yesterday that a new person will take control of IMPACT Wrestling tonight while the Hulkster is recovering.

“While Hulk Hogan is recovering, I’ve asked another man to step in and take control. He appears right at 8/7 Central on @SpikeTV,” Carter wrote.

The reveal of the new man in charge will open the live broadcast. Hogan is out for several weeks after he underwent surgery yet again and there is no return date set for now.
