ABOUT RINGSIDE
After several years "in the wilderness",
Ringside Live was Wrestling-Online.com's return
into audio shows, with a new team and a new look
into the world of professional wrestling.
Starting in September 2007, the show initially
featured just Ian Hamilton - long-time wrestling
fan and author (www.sinkingshipbook.co.uk)
- providing a recap of the week's wrestling news
and television shows. After a few shows,
including a post-UFC review show, the show took
on an extra dimension with the arrival of former
pro-wrestler Adam Firestorm.
Through out the weeks and months, the show grew
(as did the average running time!), as we
ditched the TV reviews and expanded our coverage
and commentary of the past week's news,
occasionally bringing on guests to provide
alternative insight (Keith Lipinski, Oliver Copp
and Iain Liddle) into our discussions on the
world of WWE, TNA, UFC and the independent
wrestling circuits.
2008 was a break-out year for Ringside Live as
the show's audience grew, which inspired us into
holding regular contests giving away books,
DVDs, t-shirts and video games to our fans...
and also holding our WrestleMania 24 preview
show live from Florida.
Since then we've continued to grow, with the
show attracting bigger name guests, as Bret "Hitman"
Hart, Eric Bischoff, Brutus "The Barber"
Beefcake, Darren Aronofsky (director of "The
Wrestler") all joining the show.
On September 4, 2009, Ringside Live went live
for the last time on BlogTalkRadio.com. The show is now
post-produced to ensure better quality and no technical
faults and is uploaded online every Friday night at 7PM EST.
Occasional live shows will be held depending on the
occasion. . |
