- The movie 'The Wrestler' finally found a distributor at the Toronto Film Festival according to Variety and Fox Searchlight coughed up $4 million for the rights of the movie, beating out studios such as Lionsgate, Overture and Weinstein Co., in an "all-night bidding war." The movie, starring Mickey Rourke, had rave reviews at the Venice Film Fest and even won the Golden Lion award. Critics are hailing this movie as Rourke's best work and some even calling it his comeback movie. There are talks that Rourke will be up for an Academy Award for his performance as a washed-up wrestler who fights his way back through the indy circuit for one last match against his arch rival.
