LATEST NEWS FROM WRESTLING-ONLINE.COM NEWSWIRE Ric Flair and NWA back doing business after 20 years By Colin Vassallo Sep 20, 2008 - 6:44:46 PM - Twenty years after Ric Flair last appeared for the NWA, the Nature Boy is teaming up again with the promotion that made him who he is today. The National Wrestling Alliance will have Flair on October 4th at the RMB Fairgrounds in Robstown, TX., for a meet and greet session which will benefit the local Boys and Girls Club. NWA Executive Director Robert Trobich said, "This is not only a great opportunity for Ric’s many fans in the Corpus Christi area, but it’s for a great cause; the Boys and Girls Club. I’m glad that the NWA and Ric are finally working together. It’s been a long time coming and we’re planning for a long lasting relationship." Flair was equally excited with his participation. "I am anxious for this trip to Corpus Christi for many reasons. First, because its for the Boys and Girls Club. They offer great social and athletic opportunities to young people and I’m happy to be helping them raise some money. Also, this is the first time in 20 years that the NWA and myself will be conducting business and I’m wanting to see the wrestling later that night," he said.
