- Jesse Ventura appeared on CNN's Larry King Live yesterday and said he decided not to run for the US Senate in the state of Minnesota mainly because he doesn't want to submit his family to media scrutiny. Privacy went out of the window when Ventura was elected as Governor of Minnesota in 1998 and a lot of family dirty laundry was made public back then. The WWE Hall of Famer told host Larry King that he was close to submitting his name but eventually decided against it because of family concerns. "Nothing is off-limits today in the world of politics. These are some of the dilemmas that I go through: Do I want to put my family on the firing line again?" he said.
