- W-O Newsletter reader David Owens sent in word that Variety is reporting that Academy Award winner Nicholas Cage - who was linked to play the leading role in a movie called 'The Wrestler' - has dropped from the project and is being replaced by Mickey Rourke. Cage was recently at a Ring Of Honor event backstage doing some research for the movie. Darren Aronofsky will be directing and producing this independent movie starting in the beginning of January of next year. Rourke will be playing Randy 'The Ram' Robinson, a washed up wrestler who takes one last shot at glory.
