Former WWE Chief Executive Officer Linda McMahon will be meeting with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and other GOP leaders in Washington this week to discuss her bid for the Connecticut U.S. Senate seat.

McMahon - along with Rob Simmons - are the two front runners in the GOP primary as one of them is looking to kick Democratic Senator Christopher Dodd from his seat.

McMahon, helped by a very large budget, is slowly gaining popularity and she plans to spend up to $50 million of her own money in her campaign to win the election.

She quit WWE last August and removed herself as a member of the Board last month to focus solely on her campaign.
