Former Republican State Senator David Cappiello will be managing Linda McMahon's U.S. Senate run it was confirmed yesterday.

The former WWE Chief Executive Officer has a long, tough battle ahead of her as her opponents are already using her WWE background against her saying she promoted violence, rapes and other goofy story lines that appeared on WWE television over the past several years.

"David's broad-based experience in public policy and Connecticut politics is unmatched," said Ed Patru, a spokesman for the campaign. "He understands the issues that are important to Connecticut families and small businesses and, just as importantly, he knows how to build and mobilize a winning grass-roots campaign."

There are some rumors as well that her son Shane would be joining her campaign once his WWE duties come to an end at the end of this year.
