- The Suncoast News newspaper is reporting that a Pinellas County circuit judge this morning ordered a presentence investigation for Nick Bollea, the son of Hulk Hogan, who is accused of seriously injuring his best friend in a car accident on August 26th of last year. While civil infractions such as traffic tickets usually are not taken into account, the case might be different in Nick's case as he had quite a bit of speeding tickets on his record. According to the Suncoast News, a presentence investigation is used when a range of punishments for a crime is being considered. It can play a role if a plea deal will be worked out and it can also be used if the case goes to trial. Nick is facing from probation up to five years in prison for the crash, which left his best friend almost brain dead.
