Former Smackdown commentator Taz is the new color commentator for TNA iMPACT! as Don West has been removed from his ringside duties. Taz started his familiar gig with yesterday's iMPACT! tapings which will air on Thursday.

"I am already LOVING my new role in TNA. I had a blast with Mike (Tenay) also. TNA will sound different starting Thursday," said Taz on his Twitter account.

West has been announcing for TNA since 2002 and finally received a promotion after seven long years with the company and will now be involved with the merchandise department.

"I'm also happy Don is TNA still. It shows the type of front office we have. Dude has been there for seven years. You don't just can him - promote him," the Human Suplex Machine added.

Taz was an announcer for WWE from late 2000 till he left earlier this year.
