LATEST NEWS FROM WRESTLING-ONLINE.COM NEWSWIRE TNA to hold its first pay-per-view in Canada By Colin Vassallo Jul 20, 2008 - 11:02:07 AM - TNA Wrestling issued a press release announcing that it's 'No Surrender' pay-per-view will be going up North to be held at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. This will be the first time that TNA will be holding a pay-per-view outside the United States. The plan is also to hold a PPV in England following their successful tour earlier this year. The same arena hosted a live TNA event in December of last year and sold out. "We’re thrilled to be taking No Surrender 2008 to Canada," said TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter. "When TNA visited Oshawa late last year, the show was amazing with an electric atmosphere. Canada has always been a cornerstone of professional wrestling, from its in-ring legends and new talent to its passionate fans. We expect ‘No Surrender’ to be unforgettable." TNA usually holds most of its pay-per-views and all their iMPACT! tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL., and they do not get any gate money from those shows. [Back
