- The WrestleMania XXV Reading Challenge has kicked off with WWE Superstars Matt Hardy, MVP, Mark Henry and Diva Layla as spokespersons for the promotion which will run through January 12th. Kids attending school from grade five to twelve in the US can participate in the program which will consist of each student reading a combo of 10 books and magazines and then submit an essay on the theme "How WrestleMania Got Me Reading." Local libraries will choose the best essay submitted and then a panel of judges will choose ten finalists, five from each grade category and different regions of the country. The seventh through 12th graders will go on to compete in the national finals in Houston, TX. Along with attending the finals of the challenge, WWE will also host the finalists at WrestleMania and the libraries sponsoring the finalists will each receive a $2,000 donation. The competition is also held in the United Kingdom as students have to write an essay persuading their favorite WWE Superstar to read one of the five books they read for the challenge. Six winners from the UK will win a trip to WrestleMania.
