WWE issued a press release announcing that WrestleMania did a venue record of 78,363 fans, coming from all 50 states and 36 countries.
The show grossed a whopping $8.9 million, it was also the highest grossing live event in WWE history, beating the previous record holder WrestleMania 25 of $7.2 million.
The record also trumps the previous Sun Life Stadium venue record which grossed $7.5 million for a U2 concert and just beating the 77,912 attendance for the BCS National Championship in 2005.
