- WWE has filed court papers on Monday saying that they will not be co-operating with requests made by the families of Chris Benoit and his wife after they requested documents that contain drug testing results and other information regarding Benoit. WWE called the motion "a wholesale fishing expedition" intended to sue the company at a later time even though WWE said that they had nothing to do with the double murder-suicide from June. The information is being sought for an upcoming court hearing that will determine who stands to inherit millions of dollars from the Chris Benoit estate. Neither Chris nor Nancy Benoit left a will and the order of death will be the deciding factor on who will get the money. WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt said that the documents requested are not remotely relevant to the determination of order of death. "We're going to resist," McDevitt said. "If somebody wants to take a shot at us, then go ahead, and we'll see you in court."
