WWE not the only one after money from 360 OTC
Reported by: Colin Vassallo, on Jan 24, 2008 - 8:34:06 PM

- W-O Newsletter reader Joe Shepherd sent in word that WWE isn't the only company running after money from 360 OTC - last year's WrestleMania sponsors - as two motor sports companies are also on the hunt for sponsor money. Dirt Motor Sports, which operates the World of Outlaws, sued Rockford-Montgomery Labs last year for non-payment of its title sponsorship of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. The deal was worth $1.5 million in 2007, $1.6 million in 2008 and $1.7 million in 2009. Meanwhile, Morgan-McClure Motorsports filed a different lawsuit against the company over a $10.1 million sponsorship deal signed in June 2006 for 2007, which Rockford-Montgomery Labs later backed out of citing poor performance, the lack of a driver and the lack of time to prepare promotional materials. WWE is after $1,176,470 in WrestleMania sponsor money and percentage of profits that 360 OTC did from their WWE deal, court costs and for the company to stop using WWE intellectual properties on their website to promote any products.
