- THQ Inc., and JAKKS Pacific LLC announced today that World Wrestling Entertainment has filed a lawsuit against the company on October 12th in CT., involving a claim previously reported in Securities and Exchange Commission filings concerning allegedly improper sales of WWE video games in Japan and other countries in Asia. The lawsuit seeks, among other things, a declaration that the WWE is entitled to terminate the video game license and monetary damages. The company believes the lawsuit is without merit and they intend to defend themselves vigorously. THQ currently releases all WWE games under a multi-year agreement. WWE games are amongst the best selling in THQ history and made WWE and THQ tons of money over the past years.
