- After WWE revived the pay-per-view The Great American Bash in 2004, the company is now renaming it simply to The Bash, throwing away the history of the show which first started in 1985 under the National Wrestling Alliance.

The Great American Bash was held yearly in June from 1985 to 1992 and then resumed from 1995 to 2000. NWA produced the first six shows while WCW took over the rest until WWE brought it back in 2004 as the only WCW-related pay-per-view show after McMahon acquired WCW.

The next Bash event will take place at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, CA., which will hold its first WWE PPV in eight years.
