- WWE has appointed Michelle Wilson as the new Executive Vice President of Marketing replacing Geof Rochester who was let go when the company went on a mass layoff spree last month. Wilson was recently the chief marketing officer for the United States Tennis Association and will now head up WWE's global marketing. "Michelle brings a unique combination of sports, entertainment and brand marketing experience to WWE," said CEO Linda McMahon. "She will be a key player in furthering the WWE brand and bringing great value to our network, advertising and promotional partners." This is Wilson's second stint with WWE as she previously oversaw all marketing aspects for the failed XFL football league.
