- This year's WWE draft followed the pattern from last year and picks depended on who won the inter-promotional matches. Drafted to Monday Night RAW were Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Batista, Kane and announcer Michael Cole. Smackdown! got Jeff Hardy, Umaga, Mr Kennedy, Triple H and the biggest surprise of them all, Jim Ross. Matt Hardy was the only one drafted to ECW. Jim Ross, who's been the voice of RAW was the one who looked the most disappointed among everyone and courageously didn't even try to hide it, voicing his disapproval on the air as well. As in previous years, no one was told who's going where until their name showed up on the screen.
