THQ, Inc., today announced that it won an arbitration against JAKKS Pacific, Inc., where it involved payments over WWE games.

The court established a significantly lower preferred return payment rate to JAKKS Pacific for WWE video games and with the new rate of 40% below the previous rate the company is expected to benefit from a one-time payment of $23 million. The time period covers anything released from July 2006 till December 2009.

"As we expected, we have prevailed in this matter. We are gratified the arbitrator agreed the preferred return rate to JAKKS Pacific on WWE video games will be significantly lower," said James M. Kennedy, THQ’s executive vice president, business and legal affairs. THQ and JAKKS hold a joint license agreement for WWE video games.
