- The STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA., will hold the next SummerSlam in August 2009. This will be the second time that SummerSlam will be hosted in the state of California - and first time in Los Angeles - with the first time being in 2001 in San Jose at the Compaq Center. The last time the STAPLES Center hosted one of the big four pay-per-views was in 2005 for WrestleMania 21.
