- THQ and JAKKS today announced the creation of the next WWE console game - RAW vs Smackdown! 2009. To be released this fall by the same team behind the successful series, this new game will be out for Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and mobile phones. THQ will be upgrading the tag team play, revising mechanics and implementing new wasy of eliminating your opponents. Along with the create-a-wrestler feature there will also be a create-a-finisher option and the Road to WrestleMania career mode will feature new story lines. Downloadable content will be added in the future as well. "We are tremendously excited about the next groundbreaking release in the billion dollar WWE SmackDown vs. Raw video game franchise," said Nelo Lucich, vice president of interactive, JAKKS Pacific.
